They didn't like the changing weather conditions. Also this picture must be pretty old because the oregano died ages ago...
The sage, parsley and chives are all still going well though. The pot looks a bit empty and sad these days, I'm thinking of getting some more herbs. But they'd have to be hardier than the thyme and oregano that died so fast last time.

| First potato harvest! |
So I planted roughly eight potatoes that had gone rotten in the cupboard. Three of them sprouted and grew into nice plants. Everything was looking fine, until the snails attacked. They killed one plant, the only potatoes were as small as the tip of your finger. I managed to stop them from killing the other two plants. Then another potato plant randomly popped up, so I started looking after it too. Again everything went fine for a while, the plants were looking pretty healthy, big green leaves. Then the snails came again. The new potato plant and one of the original ones were both destroyed within a couple of days. I was disappointed (and angry at those damned snails) however when I dug them up I was surprised to find that the potatoes were mostly a reasonable size! The peg in the above picture is for a size reference. One is actually and easily edible size! A couple of the others could easily be cooked/eaten whole. Some of the little ones are probably only good for replanting next season, but that's okay too.

This is all the potatoes from both plants, there's a fair few of them! And three are a nice edible size! The rest I'm going to replant next crop.

Somewhere I have pictures of the three big potatoes washed and sitting on the sink ready to eat but they don't seem to be on my computer right now. I might make another post later and include them, as well as an updated picture of what the herb pot looks like.
And that's the exciting things in my garden right now (actually there's a lot more but that's all I have convenient photos of).
